I really like this program, but how do you turn off the sound alerts. That Thunder sound is driving me up the wall. (Yes I turned down my speakers, but thats no way to run a computer today)
Please let me know how to turn it off

I did a quick search on the Forum and found another 4 questions like this. The easy answer appears to be, delete lightning.wav from wdisplay directory.
Thank you very much. I figured there would be a setting. But I can work with your suggestion
Thank you again very much
My suggestion was mainly based on this thread http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/542725. The setting mentioned there is for rain.wav, but if any of the lightning settings on that page are activated you might get lightning.wav too. It was the program author’s suggestion to delete lightning.wav
It is possible that it is a Weatherflow Tempest lightning setting that sets it off, but I didn’t find a post about that on my quick search.
N.B. If you do search the Forum, I recommend Advanced Search (the magnifying glass beside the Search box).
If you right click on the speaker down by the clock on the task bar, go to volume mixer and volume controls by app should be there.
Regards,
Jim
OP might want rain.wav. . . if he can find it
I recently added a Tempest WeatherFlow station to Davis station that I have had for over 10 years and started getting the lightning.wav audio alerts so I am pretty sure Tempest is the cause of this issue. For now I will just go with jaltman’s suggestion of just turning off the volume for the Weather Display alerts. Thanks everyone!
Just delete or rename lightning.wav. . . I use WD rain.wav but I can’t stand lightning.wav
