Tempest weather station and rain alternative

Hi All,
I have Tempest weather station and I want to connect it to Weather Display software but without rain data because from my point of view the station is not accurate. Is it possible to use another rain gauge or another weather station for calculate the rain? The software permits to use two weather station in the same time? Do you have any suggestion to do it? Thanks

First, welcome to the forum…

I totally agree that the Tempest is not a reliable sensor and does a terrible job of measuring rainfall. Mine always over-reads rain. The worst part is you can’t use an WD off-set because the haptic sensor calculates rain drops based on what it thinks the size of the rain drop is when it hits the sensor. A google search turned up this sensor but it isn’t cheap.

If you find a decent alternative please let me know…

Hi , Thanks for your suggestion.

For example if I buy this Professional Weather Products | Smart Home Product – Ecowitt. How can I configure Weather Display to take this sensor as rain gauge (for example) and continue to use weather flow for all the other parameters?

Je trouve que cela est une très bonne suggestion de faire cohabiter un capteur de pluie d’une autre marque avec Tempest qui est complétement défectueux.
Je trouve ça honteux que rien n’est fait de la part de WeatherFlow concernant ce problème.

The Tempest station, aside from rain measurements, is a decent station with no moving parts, solar powered, lightning detector, light sensor, it packs a punch for the money. They offer AI based Nearcast Technology. But us weather geeks demand to use our data and not some algorithm derived data.
