Temperature extremes in a day

Following on from the next version feature suggestions in a different thread I’ve been thinking about the practicalities of temp scaling. Because it would mean changing the scale of the thermometers, and therefore produce some really odd figures, I think it would be better to show a pre-defined range but have it sliding dependant upon the actual temperature. eg. if you’re in winter and your temperature extremes for the day are -10 to +5 then it would show that, plus a few degrees each end, if it was summer and your extremes for the day were +15 to +35 then that would be the scale range. For this to work though the scale has to cover the likely max/min for the day. Therefore the question is what are your maximum extreme temperatures in a day?

That sounds good.
