Technoline ws2307

I have a Technoline ws2307. Is this compatible with WD? If yes, what station do I check on the weather type selection page? Thanks.

It seems to have some similarities to a La Crosse WS 2317

It may work with WD Under the La Crosse 2310 - 2315 Station settings…

Thanks.

,I’ve tried as you suggest and sadly it looks as though it doesn’t work with that or any other La Crosse settings. Looks like I’ll be using Heavy Weather.

Yes i would say WD will work with this station, select a 2310 station type
as the specs say 175 data records, which is the same as the 2310 station
(although it looks more like a 3600 station)
I would say you are doing something wrong?
make sure the correct com port is selected in WD and that heavy weather is not running at the same time
and restart WD
what does it say across the top of the WD program?

Hi, it says Comm Ok #4 Weather Display Version …Trial -Ws2310

Problem is there is no data coming through. I am using a USB/serial port converter - it appears tbe properly installed according to device manager. I have deleted and reloaded WD and now am a bit stumped. Grateful for ideas.

and so windows has assigned com 4 to that usb to serial adaptor under device manager, ports?

Is it working ok with Heavy weather? on the same port?
Peter

Yes device manager says the adapter is on com4.

Re Heavy Weather have just tried it and again no data coming through.

because this type of weather station uses communications that requite alot of DTR type signals, you need a good quality USB to serial adaptor of a PCI serial card instead

Sorry, not sure I fully understand. Is there any standard for adaptor required? Is a PCI serial card a separate device? Will it work with a laptop?

And - nothing I can do with current adaptor?

Sorry for all the questions

TIA

This sounds like the same problems that “Kari” had the other week…see Weather Display - no data on WS2300

You require a good quality serial to USB adaptor…not all of them work OK…(edited)

Where are you…fill in your profile details???

ok that looks to be a similar problem. I suppose the

Thanks for that - looks to be a good price at the moment.

btw my user name should give you a clue as to my location. Same coast as you and I can see it out of my window.

I thought the name might be as you suggest (North B area) and of course your local time, hence the link for you. EasySync are in Glasgow so post won’t take long. Mine (the Blue one with removeable input lead on webpage) was here on the following day after ordering.

OK so I have installed a new usb/serial converter and the data is coming through just fine - except there is no rain data - no monthly or yearly total and no days without rain number. Am I missing something very obvious to get this working?

wd stores the rain data separate from the weather station
you can set the initial starting rain totals under control panel, barometer offset and rainfall setup
