Sunmoonimage.gif Auto Update

I must have shut something off by mistake and can’t find where to turn it on.

My sunmoonimage.gif does not auto update daily.
For quite a while now, I have been doing a manual update by:

Setup - Control Panel - Sun/Moon - Select the day on the calendar - Update - Produce Web Image Now

That keeps me going a day at a time.
I don’t see anything on the sun/moon setup screen for daily update.
I want to retain the graphical image. I don’t want text only.
All boxes on the setup screen are OFF.

Do you use the manual ftp settings or the automatic?

I use automatic FTP.

All other website data and files are working properly and update my website every10 minutes. This including All Time, Monthly, and Year records updated daily.

Herb, by “update” do you mean a new sunmoonimage.jpg is not being created daily on the PC, or it is getting created but not uploaded, or both?

A new file is not getting created on the PC unless I do it manually on the sun moon setup screen. The data in the text box shows the data from the previous update, also from my previous manual update.

When I select the current date on the calendar and update button,
the text file changes to current information. I then click on update website now. This use to happen automatically each day.

No, I’m not using the custom Internet screen. I have “Override Off”.

It is starting to sound like there is not a missed box setting on this.
Maybe it has something to do with version N. Maybe that is when it started to misbehave.

Tomorrow I might download the latest rev and see what happens.
It will take me a day or two to see if it is updating on it’s own.

UPDATE 5/05/04
Deinstalled 10.10N
Loaded 10.10V on 5/5/04. Wait and see.
Half way there. After new load,
sun moon setup text is showing 5/5/04 (todays) data
The last manual I did was for 5/4/04, so this is good.

Website is still showing 5/4/04, but I don’t know how often this updates,
so I will wait to see.

I’m now on WD 10.10V and I’m no better off.

sunmoonimage.gif does not update unless I manually update it on the
sun/moon setup screen.

sunmoonimage.gif does not go up to website unless I manually sended it
with the button on the sun/moon setup screen.

Here is the current status
date is 5/06/04
sunmoonimage.gig in the “webfile” folder is 5/05/04
last upload of file is 5/05/04
my web site is showing 5/05/04
text on the sun/moon setup screen is showing 5/05/04

Now I am figuring again that there is box to click on somewhere.

what about the summary image? That “page” has a setting for having the sun/moon image on your site

Under setup/control panel - do you happen to have “customise internet file creation and upload” overide on? If so, you’ll need to have times selected for “extra moon details” and “sunmoonimage.jpg”.

I am back in business. :smiley:
Today at 12:11:00AM 5/07/04 the website got a 5/07/04 sunmoonimage.gif

Without changing anything on the Sun/Moon setup screen,
I frantically clicked things on and off on both Web Files Setup screen
and Summary Image Setup screen.

Pushed a zillion buttons, told it to create new html webpages, etc.

The Good news is that after midnight it started to run correctly again.
The Bad news is, I DON’T KNOW WHAT I DID TO FIX IT. :cry:

Oh well.
