Hey there all…below is my solar graph…I am wondering why the curve is not smooth? I am running a HB sensor, max mv is 76 or so, and i change this as the year goes along.
Any ideas?
Regards Tom

No-one has any ideas on this? #-o
Whats the red line? Maybe try plotting the max solar and see if your over-driving the sensor. I know some folks have installed a diffuser to limit the overdrive effect.
Red line is ET…I have put a ping pong ball as a diffuser…works really well…just not sure why it seems to be all jagged.
Tom
Beats me then…I saw no one had responded to your request for help so thought I would share an idea. Perhaps someone else has another idea on the problem…
how about clouds ? disregard the other lines, but the yellow is mine and the dips are when there were clouds… you don’t get a smooth bell curve here…
Yeah aardvark no clouds, totally fine day! going to be fine over the next few days, so will see how we go…I think it has some thing to do with the max solar mv I have set for the day.
ok… my perspective on things. I calls 'em as I sees 'em.
76 mv sounds pretty low for the max.
middle of winter, just had the winter solstice? maxed out at 85 yesterday. -32 latitude?
Tom
Oh, I thought you meant 76 was the value you have set for max mv = max voltage the sensor will ever produce, absolutely clear sky, solar noon, summer solstice.
Ah no sorry for the confusion Niko!! #-o Not clear today, so cant see if any changes I make fix it!!

Hi All,
I have the same issue. I have seen another posting on this problem in the past. http://discourse.weather-watch.com/t/25247
I don’t see any resolution in the last posting only that Brian was working on it

Derek
Sorry to bump this, but I’m getting a similar effect…
I’m using 10.37N… any ideas or fixes??
Power lines or trees nearby causing lattice shadow effect …
I don’t think so, it only seems to be an issue with 1-wire and labjack sensors where WD does a volts to w/m2 conversion.
