I just saw this and thought it might be useful for anyone building their own station…
Chris I have a screen identical to this with a temp/hum sensor in it and in sun it is completely useless, the temps read at least 25% high at best and at worst double 8O I cannot recommend for temp/hum sensor. Maybe it’s fine for others like lightning but definitely not for temps. At night and in heavy cloud cover it’s not too bad but the purpose of these is to work in sun!

Sounds like either the updraft through it must not work as designed or perhaps the plastic is too thin and doesn’t shield the sensor properly from the sun.
