Sorry, I have been busy and just now saw that you were back. Thanks!
Okay, first as you requested I checked the actual customclientraw.txt file on the local machine in the wdisplay directory and the timestamps are NOT updating as Niko point out.
YES, WD is reading live data from my Davis station via the Meteobridge passthru. It is updating about every 3-4 seconds. The data is consistent with what Meteobridge is reporting out to Weather Underground as well as several other sites that receive the data from my Meteobridge.
I looked in the View Panels section of WD in all the logs and no errors are being reported in any of them (ie that includes the requested program event logs)
One other thing, I had the gauges.js set to type 4 (meteobridge) as I was testing feeding the gauges directly from Meteobridge. That is why if you recently looked at the gauges webpage it was reporting all was well as THAT feed IS working! I have set gauges.js back to type 1 (ie WD)
Brian, in case you missed the URL, you can see all the files at www.ktxanna14.com. There are now a bunch of other files at that same URL as I have been playing with feeding the gauges directly from my meteobridge using clues from the saratoga.com scripts. Just ignore the other files.
I totally forgot that I unchecked that earlier this morning as I was pursuing alternative ways to feed the gauges. It is back to on now. As for the customize files, I was not sure at all what to do there as your how to video gave me no clues so I selected them. If they can be turned off, that is fine. Do you want me to turn off all of them?
I have stopped ALL the updating of the those files and rechecked the box to USE WD’s own FTP server. I will now restart WD to see if that makes any difference
I have fixed the issue
build 300 will be ready to download soon
yes, only set to update the files you actually need
in the customise internet and file creation setup
it looks like you have set them all on , for some reason
update, I see you have turned them off
note though that I have found an issue and fixed it
in a new version
you are jumping the gun a bit as I did say I was investigating where the problem was
Good, that you found something, but it appears that simply turning OFF all the refreshes seems to have fixed the timestamp issue. I will certainly download the new build once you have it ready.
Installed and running. I did find that as I encountered in the earlier build that the FTP seems to not find the credentials until I FIRST cycle the Main Internet switch. I gave it several minutes after launching to start up and when I launched cronftpreal, there was NO ftp to data showing, but once I cycled the Main Internet switch, it picked up the credentials on the next ftp cycle.
As I discovered even before build 300, it seems you were correct about the freq updates to all those files throwing it. The timestamps in customclientraw are updating!
Also I am noticing that on the actual WD display it is NOT picking up the updating barometer data from the meteobridge feed. This is why I was noticing that the steel gauge barometer was not reporting changes, I just had not picked up on the fact that WD itself seemed to not be getting current pressure info from the meteobridge feed. All the other fields seem to be updating just fine although I have not had an opportunity to see if the rain readings are updating as there has been no rain.
FYI, I have meteobridge directly feeding the other site that I pulled together today and there the barometric pressure IS being report correctly so meteobridge IS sending out the data correctly
unfortunately that made no difference. The reading is still stuck at 30.09 despite the actual reading 29.99. I did do a restart and both the WD display and the steel gauges still shows 30.09.
