Stalled data for earthquakes

As we say in my native language “Op hoop van zegen”

Attached a new version of the PWS_quakes_load script. The link will now display a relative large “old style” image but it has more information compared to the current link. Also implemented in the demo site.

It is relative easy to go back to the old version. Change line 106 which now reads

    $chck   = 'source_id';  # $chck   = 'not_used';

by removing the commment mark #

    $chck   = 'source_id';   $chck   = 'not_used';

Will try to find a better alternative.

New script installed but not getting the nice graphic you show. Do I need to do something else?

Never mind, it started woking…

Sorry, forgot to tell that all external information in the dashboard is cached.
The earthquakes are cached for 600 seconds. After a wait time of max 10 minutes, the new image link should be available.

Great! Thanks, Wim :slightly_smiling_face:

I don’t think you need to, I think this is really good.

Maybe the SeismicPortal map will be good, too, when they get it working :wink:

Are you sure?

Hi Wim. The “problem” is mine. in Earthquake_c_small.php, to include earthquakes from the whole world, I changed the param $notifyDistEQ in line 45 from the 2200 value to 18000 value. Now it works again showing the latest most powerful eathquake in the whole world.

The caption (“~21 Millions inhabitants…”) annoyed me, so I asked them to change it. . . and they did :wink:

Looks as if SeismicPortal has sorted its map so we have a choice for the map link :slightly_smiling_face:
