[solved] No longer posting to CWOP or WU after moving WD to new machine

I have recently changed my weather server to a new machine with a very similar hardware configuration and the same OS. Since doing the move, it seems my CWOP & Weatherunderground page is no longer updating.

Heres what I have done before moving WD to the new machine.

• Copied my Weather Display directory to the new machine (same drive assignments)
• Ran the “databackup/wdisplayftp.reg” file.
• Restarted WD, and made sure it worked and all my settings were intact and that WD updated necessary webfiles.

I went back and checked the CWOP & Weatherunderground settings, and they are all properly set.

So, are there any files that need to me copied over or did I completely miss something? I still have access to the old server drive images.

OS: Windows Server 2003
WD Version: 10.37P-(b30)
Hardware: Proliant DL360 G2 (previous machine was DL380 G2) 4GB RAM

Actually, No I didnt run the WD installer… I’ll give it a shot and update the post if it works.

I followed the directions located in the WD FAQ on moving to a new machine.

Moving WD to a new/different PC

To move your current Weather Display to a new PC, follow these steps: Read this entire FAQ, including the notes, before starting the move! On the old computer, from the Weather Display main screen go “Action”, “Back Up Windows Registry Entries”. Shut down WD to close all files. Now copy C:\wdisplay and all sub directories from the old computer to the new one [note 1]. If you are using files and/or images from other locations on the old computer, you will also need to move them to the approp…

Update:
Reinstalling WD seemed to fix it. I’m posting data to both locations now…
