Hi all
I have posted this on the PWS forum but WIM suggested that I ask Brian Perhaps.(Soil Moisture [Solved]).
I have a Davis Vantage Vue station and using WD.
I’m also using an Ecowitt soil moisture sensor and lightning sensor. The lightning is working fine, but the soil sensor is always showing 200 Centipose (as per screen shot attached).
Is there a way to change the reading to show % as per the Ecowitt api as this is showing 43% (as per 2nd screen shot).
also i have tried the Ecowitt APi on the control panel with no luck. ](*,)
Its getting me down now, and I’m really thinking of getting rid of Davis and moving over to Ecowitt as you can add a lot more sensors.
When I check today, the ecowitt upload has 42% and WD calculated that to 116 cb which is displayed correctly in the pop-up.
CB values range from 0 to 200 cb where 200 is most dry and 0 is fully “wet”
The percentage values are the other way around, 100 is wet 0 is dry.
So “recalculating” 42% to cb: (100 - 42)* 200 results in 112 cb, which is the value uploaded by WD.
The only problem is the display of colours and texts in the PWS_Dashboard scripts.
Maybe they need some fine-tuning and more help is needed for that.
