Non
have you clicked on connect (and set the needed com port number) in setup, misc…snow depth tab, Maxbotix setup?
Merci Niko.
Yes Brian.

FTDI should be OK.
If you have a multim
Bonjour Serge
Did you test with the programme du terminal ?
Non Niko avec le : “the voltage on the MB pin 3”
OK, merci, so it’s clear for Brian:
Serge has tested the sensor’s analog output and it is working normally.
the screen shot of the settings in WD shows a different com port that the test software screen shot though
In the terminal program screenshot? That’s just a port that’s on my laptop, Serge didn’t test with a terminal program, he only tested the analog output. According to the maxbotix doc it should just default to sending serial data, but it would have been nice to test that independent of WD.
I could create a simple test com port program to test
That would be great
Would it be simpler just add a screen to what you have now showing the raw data as it’s received?
the raw data as it is received should be showing in WD under control panel, debug info
Won’t that show the main station data, or can the sensor be selected?
it (the raw data) will show, under view, debug info, if the data arrives from the sensor, if the comport settings for that sensor are setup in the advanced/setup, and connect is clicked on there
nothing else needed to be done
OK, so that’s the next step for Serge.
simple test program:

Tested with a gps module, works well.
Bonjour,
Je ferai des essais prochainement car je ne suis pas chez moi.
