I have just downloaded virtual VP and set up to download the data from my Davis Vantage Pro 2 which has aa USB datalogger, however 2.5 hours later it is still downloading, is this normal ?
I tried clearing the archive but unfortunately it’s still takes over 2.5 hours and is still not complete at that stage so I gave up the download.

Second attempt after checking the station and pc clocks were in synch, clearing the archive data. 4 hours later and it’s still downloading.
Why, what gives, the logger supposed to be empty.
Rapidly loosing confidence in this program, glad it’s just a trial version ???
Ok, I think I have worked this out, looks like a issue with Vista 64bit ???.
Try the new version 1.2.3 I just released. It should work better on 64 bits. The archive download should not take more than 5 minutes in the worst case, and once VirtualVP has filled its archive cache, future downloads should less than a minute.
