Saratoga Template with Pi consolwed

I was bored with half an hour to spare so I thought I’d experiment trying to set up a Saratoga Template web site. Having got part way through the set up I don’t think it’s possible. It seems that the template needs:

clientraw.txt - OK
testtags.php - I don’t have this set up but I’m pretty sure it’s possible
history htm files - Pi consolewd doesn’t seem to create these and I can’t see any config options to generate them
WD graphics files - I know Pi consolewd doesn’t and can’t generate these

So without the history and graphics files I guess the template either won’t work, or it will be somewhat limited in functionality? Are my findings wrong or is there a way to use the Template with Pi consolewd?

At a minimum, you’d need clientraw.txt, testtags.php to produce the basic template. The history and graphics files are only shown on 2 pages wxhistory.php and wxgraphs.php (with a wind rose graph on wxtrends.php).
Your Pi would need PHP and Apache for the website to render. ConsoleWD would have to process testtags.txt → testtags.php with substitutions for %wdvars% done – I don’t know if that is a capability of ConsoleWD.

Thanks Ken

I was trying to get the template running on my real web site, not the Pi so Apache/PHP are already there. I’ve seen reference to testtags.txt/php in the consolewd directory so I assume the file can be created, although I don’t know if it has all the required tags available to include so that might be a problem.

Time for bed soon, but I’ll have another try when I get a chance.

You can use the attached as a testtags.txt for the template.
