Since last update of WxSim and only over the past week or so, I have been getting Run-time error ‘5’;.
If I clear the fault and restart wxsim and run imediately without regetting the data, It goes through without fault.
The error appears to be only between 10:00 and 14:00, sometimes as late as 18:00 (gmt+10).
10 minutes should be plenty, unless you have a very slow Internet connection and PC.
Error 5’s have traditionally been a problem somwhere in the data, but this case seems odd. If the data is only downloaded by the first run which generates the error if no new data is downloaded then I can’t think how the second run wouldn’t fail with the same error!
This error has usually required getting Tom involved so we might have to see if we can rub the magic brass lamp and raise the genie
Is the error still occurring? I would need some files to diagnose: cty.fdt, custinit.txt, wxsmini.txt, localdat.txt, localcal.txt, latest.wxf, wdata.txt, and (if you have it) wdatamixed.txt. Let me know here or via email.
Hi Tom,
Yes this is still happening. I currently have mix off because of error 500 on McMahon data, but keep getting the mixing messages. and the error 5.
The last run was an actual error 5 so the files should be as close as possible for you
files attached as requested.
