Recent Linux WD tar file corrupt

“invalid compressed data–crc error”
“invalid compressed data–length error”

i will try uploading/recreating again

Thank you for the new upload. I was able to un-tar the new file.

I have then tested the install on 3 systems…
Ubuntu 21.10 : seems to work
RHEL 7.9 : crashes :frowning:
RHEL 8.4 : crashes :frowning:

Unfortunately, I am required to use a RHEL distribution.
When running in RHEL, it initially loads then crashes after a few seconds with the following attached error:
Does anyone have any suggestions to get Weather Display running on a Rat Hat distribution?

its a permission problem with the default home location being root
(you need to change your default home location to not be root)

or
create a file called
newhomelocation.txt
with your non root path for WD documents
e.g
/yourname/Documents/

have that file where the main executable file is

there is another thread about this
