Re: How to get monthly averages file

,

Is the monthly averages file automatically generated each month? Is this something I need to enable in WD? Can I force the file to generate for testing purposes?

This is a good question.

I’ve not used either the graphs or daily weather file uploads for a very long time. I mainly only update the clientraw files and some template included files.

So I personally don’t have files like December2007.htm or graphs like 20071201.gif being uploaded.

I did spend some time the other day to see how I would turn them back. I saw a couple places that might be the right area… Advanced Internet Settings - File #1 or Perhaps File #2 maybe even File #3, but when I looked at each, they have many sub-levels … Load File # … etc…

I was not sure.

Hi

I think you have to tick "upload daily avg/extremes in the ftp/internet setup.

Forgot - you can recreate the average/extremes in the “View > Noaa reports”

Cool.

Will have to take a gander at that…

Some how I think I’m headed down a road I don’t think I want to go

Recreating looked like it should be fairly simple, however the results were not what one would have expected… For example, I did November 2007 which resulted in strange results…

Moved to WD Bugs section. Did the same thing when I recreated December…

I have posted problems with this process in the past…and without a resolution as far as I know…I won’t touch the process with a barge pole.

Thanks for the information. I don’t think Brian has that Incorporated into the Mac version of WD, at least I could not find either in the latest Mac version of WD.

When I have to do this (which I will have to do ) I always get at least one day in there twice. So I routinely open it with Notepad and edit out the wrong day. It’s just another process.

i made some fixes to the recreate the av/extreme routine

which version are you using that is causing a problem Kelvinraz?
as when I tested with the latest upate it was OK

also this should work OK in the Mac version, but I will test as time permits

The bug report in WD Bugs has all the details…
