Re: Fix for WMR200 slow outdoor temp/hum update rate

HI BRY MY WMR 200 UPDATEING NOW ONLYTHING IS IVE LOST THE WIND CHILL CAN U HELP ME TO GET IT BACK AND THE BARO IS NOT SHOWING THE SAME IN WEATHER DISPLAY HAS THE CONSOLE CAN U HELP ME PLEASE

the windchill is lost where exactly?
also check your barometer offset, in the barometer offset and rainfall setup, under control panel
also, please dont use capitals, otherwise people take it that you are shouting

also, have you applied the fix for the WMR200?

sorry windy im a new user to the fourm ok ive got it working now its showing the windchill ok but the baro on the weather station is showing 1031 mb and in weather display its showing 100.7 mb its not showing the same as the console and i dont think its geting the raw data for it becouse when i look in the data logger ver 2.8 its saying northing when its reading baro
can u help me with this please and for the rainfall i havent set that up yet only had the station the other day im waiting for the uv sensor to come but im haveing trouble with the baro reading the fix u put on here about the outside temp/hum is working great now so its hats of to u :lol:can u help please and sorry for shouting

so you dont see the word
baro
in the data list in the separate wmr100/200 program?
it could be that for your setup, the baro data is also being appended to the end of other data (i.e it could depend on timing/sequencing)
so then I would need to apply the same fix as I did for the temp/hum data

yes windy i see the word baro but it looks like its not geting the raw data from the console becouse its says nothing when reading the baro if this helps

Hi
if you see the word baro
in the wmr100/200 program
then it will be working and getting the data to WD
what is the barometer reading on the console?
also what have you set as the barometer offset in the barometer offset and rainfall setup in WD?

the baro is 1031 mb on the console i haven got the rain sensor on yet but it doesent seem to update the baro reading in weather display

also what have you set as the barometer offset in the barometer offset and rainfall setup in WD?

can u tell me please how to offset the baro please in weather display the console is showing 1035 mb and weather display is showing 968.0 mb thanks you

what have you set as the barometer offset in the barometer offset and rainfall setup in WD?

the offset is 0 this is the data the logger program is fetching where is says baro there is northing there comeing from the console where it says baro take a look see if u can tell me whats happing its doing me head in now thanks again for ur help

wmr data.txt (9.63 KB)

i suspect that you have a settings problem in WD
first thought lets find out what data the separate wmr200 program is finding
download, and unzip this wmr100/200 program to where you have WD installed (exit the currently running wmr100/200 program)
http://www.tokaanuskihire.co.nz/wmr100.zip

and this update will show the raw barometer reading in the data window

it might be that its the un adjusted baro reading, and is not using the sea level adjusted reading showing on the console

i.e you then just need to set a barometer offset in WD to get it to read the needed leve, under control panel, barometer offset and rainfall setup

this is what it is showing

wmr data.txt (1.47 KB)

baro Local barometer = 1005.0

then you should have 1005 hpa showing up in WD
that fact you do not means that you have some settings wrong
which is why I wanted to know your barometer offset
but maybe you have ticked to use QFE barometer in the units setup
if you could .zip and email me your settings files, and I will check on those
(see in the FAQ for how to do that)

sorry it be a pain but where do i find the setting from out of weather display the data gatherer ver 2.8 is now showing the baro reading but its not showing the same as on the console and its set to show mb its confuseing me now

Follow the instructrions in the FAQ Saving Settings/Configuration Files for Troubleshooting

the wmr100/200 program uses the local pressure reading, and not the sea level adjusted reading that you have set on the console
instead you set the needed barometer offset in WD, under control panel , barometer offset and rainfall setup
mb and hpa are the same thing basicly

ok bry ive sent you the settings

Hi
using your settings, 1007mb shows up as the barometer reading in WD (which is what is coming through from the wmr100/200 program via the wdisplay.ini settings file you sent me)
so you should be seeing that as well, yes?
to get that reading to be sea level adjusted, you need to add a barometer offset under control panel, barometer offset and rain fall setup

ok the console is showing 1038 mb now 1009.0 what offset have i got to put in but the data that the logger ver 2.8 is reading is differnt to what its showing on the console
