I’ve just built up my Raspberry Pi and WD… Works an absolute treat… I’ve currently setup with a watchdog that make sure if WD crashes, it restarts… Although, it’s been running for over 2 weeks solid, without the need for the watchdog script.
Anyway back to the point of this post I’m about to make a clean image for a mate, with WD installed, apache webserver and probably the carterlake template installed by default… Would their be any interest from others if i posted it up here to share?
Sounds like a great idea, maybe one without webserver and templates.
Or one with both webserver and Carterlake and Leuven, or maybe wait till Jachym ( My new template ) template is ready, people woul then have the choice of which template they might would use.
The large number of posts about that are gone in the disk failures in april 2015 but some info with the links are “resurrected”:
The description of the complete headless Image is at http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/465090
The image is OK for the first raspi including the raspberry+.
Not yet for the raspberry2.
An image would get out of date too quickly. The easiest way is to install a vanilla RPi image and then install consolewd onto it using the instructions here in the forum.
