Getting a good amount of rain today.
Using WS-2310 wireless.
2310 console reading 1.73" currently
WD showing 1.08"
I didn’t think I needed to input an offset for it to match to console reading - all other data reading good
Any ideas?
Also, I have a Davis rain guage set up near the 2310 and the Davis is reading 1.38"
Update - it seems to be catching up some now.
Which brings another question…
Does the Heavy Weather settings have anything to do with WD? Just wondering if WD pulls data from the history file in Heavy Weather even though it is not running. I have the history file set to 30 minute intervals - does it matter since Heavy Weather is not running?
Edit again -
After doing some more reading here, I did this - hope it is right.
I went into the data logger setup, and hit “set logger to 1 minute intervals”. Then went and un-checked “pad out missing data when WD starts”.
I adjusted the total to what is reading on the console - still raining lightly so I’ll see if all keeps up. Heavy rain coming again soon according to the radar.
As far as the accuracy - I kept my Davis guage up for comparison - It is over 10 years old so I don’t know which is more accurate. I’ll have to set up an old manual guage to do some more checking.
hi
WD does not use the heavy weather program in any way
WD keeps its own rainfall totals separate too
ok - thanks Brian
I updated to 10.15
Now it seems that my daily rainfall is not keeping up again.
Does it take a while for WD to catch up with the console?
