how can a rain rate be 868mm/hr ??? 8O
of course we had a heavy rain during the day (44mm per 2 hours) 
but dont you think the rate is too much high??? :?
i there a way to calibrate it ??? :oops:

Would be useful to know what station you have (including any modifications).
I sometimes get erroneously high readings on account of my console missing signals from the rain gauge; when the signal finally gets through it may have recorded several tips, which WD interprets (fairly enough) as having arrived in the last minute, when in fact they were spread out over several minutes.
Easy way to check for this is to view the log file. I get things like: 0.0 0.3 0.3 0.0 0.0 0.0 1.1 0.0 0.3 … A sign of missed signals.

the signal was missed for a short while then suddenly a huge amount of rain
was sent to console 1time 15mm, i think this is the problem, thanks for help
another think i wanna ask about the image on the main screen, i allready set it up
to be update by the METAR but i tick the option which let the WD override the icon METAR
i realize that WD is not working properly with it, when i manually update the internet , the icon change to rain
which is true, but 1 minute then the icon show cloudy picture, but the wundergound metar shows rain!!!
moreover i have a heavy rain falling.
