Brian would it be possible and faisable to have a rain offset automaticaly
set depending on wind speed…?
We all know that the more the wind, the less of rain will go thru the rain collector.
Ex: Yesterday during a storm WD recorded 5.1mm of rain while my manual
(wind protected) rain collector gathered 9.5mm. Almost 40% difference due
to strong winds during that storm. To get the most accurate data for all
the important rest it is difficult to have the weather station in a wind protected area
and get accurate UV, Solar, temp, etc.
Many of my visitors contact me to spot out that difference with their own
maual rain collector.
