I had found and fixed a problem with the recent rain in the code
if it does not work as expected, I would need a copy of the 24hourrain.inf data file and settings files (zipped)

I can tell you that it’s not working still. Its raining here right now and even though the rain gage is going up, I read Dry with the settings of 20,10,1 (also tried 20,10,20). Will try to zip and upload the requested files shortly.

OK, it rained all afternoon (about noon to 5pm) and not once could I get it to show rain. I played around with the setting of the three for rain and if I left the “stopped raining” one at 1 and the others at 30 and 20 it would no longer show “Stopped raining” but instead of rain it showed DRY. I played around with multiple settings and nothing worked.

I would think it should look at the rain rate and use one of the multiple rain rate descriptions already defined (IE: Lite rain, moderate rain, heavy rain, thunderstorm, etc). I’d settle though for it to just show rain when it’s raining! Thanks in advance for taking a look at this. I’ve attached (hopefully) the rain inf file and a screen shot of my setup.

OK, today it finally rained again and with the next to new L14 version it was still saying DRY even while I watched the rain increment from .03 to .04 inches of rain. I noticed that there was a newer L14 version on the website so I downloaded and installed that but after installing that I could not get it to read the data from my Davis logger so I had to go back to the L09 version.

I’m still stuck with it always saying dry now even when it’s raining “Cats and Dogs” on my Davis vantage pro 2 station. I’ve got it set for stopped raining at 1 and the other two for 30 and 20.

Can anyone help?

Update: The L14 version dated sept 15th worked, that latest one, dated Sept 22 would not read my logger.

hometownzone, you should find that build 16 is ok with the data logger now
