Yesterday we had a heavy shower but nothing was recorded by anything so today i decided to check out the gauge in the garden when I took the top off found cobwebs and thought that’s why it failed the buckets where in a horizontal position which was strange even after clearing this it was very reluctant to tip so the the cobweb appear not be to blame fortunately i had another bucket unit so replaced it after giving everything a good clean, the old unit was the original unit from 2011, replacement worked ok with this evenings shower of rain
