I have a QuickCam
sounds like a driver issue maybe?
when you say it was for the Mac, I would have thought hardware side it would not be any different, just the driver side
Sounds and looks like you need to show more sky than trees, the auto exposure
is struggling with the 2 contrasts, higher the camera to show more sky or lower
it to show more trees…
Is the RightLight enabled? Make sure it is
Not sure about the MAc settings, but in the webcamcapture program click on
Video Quality and tick all to auto apart from Saturation and Sharpness
All this helps
It does not work with the drivers for the windows version of that cam.
And as you could see on those pictures the first picture is ok but the second one is to dark, so it’s not because of how much sky there is in the picture.
No, rightlight is not enabled because I don’t have that in the settings menu.
Do you have the full Logitech software installed or just the drivers?
If not then install the full software and you will then be able to use the rightlight using Logitech’s software.
There is a couple of ways to find out if it is because of the amount of sky/greenery,
Question:
Do you have this issue when its cloudy?
As it is a cam for a mac there is no software for it.
And I have tried with the software for the windows version but that does not work.
Ah ok, i take it the mac is using the standard driver, im not sure if there is anything that
will resolve this then other than buying a Mac specific camera as you really need the rightlight
enabled to compensate for the issue your having… Failing that, you may have a faulty camera
From Logitech
Your Logitech camera must be UVC (Universal Video Class) compliant in order to be used on your Mac OS 10.4.9 and above computer. These standard UVC drivers are provided by the Operating System and will only provide minimal camera support.
For updates on compatibility issues and driver support, please continue to check the Logitech Support Website for updates or click the “Notify Me by Email…” button located on the bottom of this article
NOTE: With the exception of the QuickCam Vision Pro for Mac and the HD Pro Webcam C910, all other UVC cameras are not officially supported on the Mac and some features or application support may not work.
