Has anyone seen the message : “Qt: missing charset GB2312.1980-0” ?
What does it mean. Does it have anything to do with the deg character showing up as a “?” on SuSE 9.x systems?
Thanks,
Clif
do you have it here
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/encodings/large
Thanks for responding,
Yes it is there but it has a “.enc.gz” extension.
Is that the problem?
that mean its still a gunzip file, i.e it needs to be uncompressed i would think
no that should be fine… do you have kde installed? qt is a “kde” thing…
open a terminal and try
xfontsel
then go to rgstry and see if you have GB2312.1980-0 listed… if not, that should be the problem, and we can fix it
Brian,
Thanks for your help.
I only have GB2312.1980 listed in rgstry and not GB2321.1980-0.
I’m running SuSE 9.1 and KDE 3.2.1`
Thanks again,
Clif
what do you see here?
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/encodings/large/encodings.dir
Yes, it says:
“gb2312.1980-0 ./gb2312.1980-0.enc”
Thanks,
Clif
