Hi All,
I have had the a UVN800 for about four years now, and for some reason it has stopped detecting UV, How ever it is registering with my WMR200.
Having removed the batteries, for 24hrs and replaced them with new one, it does not collect any UV data.
Can any one suggest a fix, or it likely that the sensor has failed.
Michael
Based on my recent experience and comments by others it looks like to sensor has failed. Seems relatively common occurrence so 4 years is not too bad.
Do not know if it would be possible to fix. Tried to pull mine apart but gave up.
Thanks FNQ for the reply.
Did you replace yours, if so with what?
Michael
Currently in the too hard basket but this may offer some suggestions.

My brand new UVN800 was disconnecting after about 3 days. Resetting would make it reconnect then go for a day etc etc.
I could not work out if it was thermal issue but was certain it wasnt a battery connection problem. The batteries were fine but i suspected the clock crystal.
Yes i should have returned it but for some reason didnt.
I put an oscilloscope on the crystal and saw some weird behaviour when i cooled the crystal.(32.768Mhz xtal)
Anyway, $4 and 4 weeks later from China im stoked its perfectly fixed now!
