Hi, as per the GFS (ECMWF not so much) i am seeing a small snow event for Thursday through until Saturday Morning, although, its not in one go but it is from the same system, Thursday morning rush hour could be interesting though, but as always, its still early in forecasting terms so its subject to change.
Looking to get our first snow event here in New York as well…I believe winter has arrived ;
…LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM MONDAY
TO 7 AM EST WEDNESDAY…
- WHAT…Heavy lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations
of 7 to 12 inches in the most persistent lake snows with local
amounts up to 15 inches across the Chautauqua Ridge. Winds
gusting as high as 35 mph will produce areas of blowing and
drifting snow. - WHERE…Wyoming, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Southern Erie
counties. Heaviest lake effect snows will remain well south of
the Buffalo Metro area. - WHEN…From 10 AM Monday to 7 AM EST Wednesday.
- IMPACTS…Travel could be very difficult to impossible. The
hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening
commute.
