Just thought id ask about this. Would it be possible to add a new topic or somthing under “Creating web Sites” that only has to do with Scripts and coding? Im sure theres people that just have script questions that dont really have to do with makeing a whole page for a site. And if someone like Mike makes a new script like he did for that contact form, he could post it there under that new topic. Just a thought i had…Not sure if its worth it or not.

Im not sure who is in charge of the Forum, but do ya think this is a possibility? Overall, i think it would help to keep all the coding and scripts all in one place. Makes it easier for people to post them, find them and ask for help when needed. And make it easier for the PHP Guros to answere questions and help all in one spot.
How about the Custom Templates subforum was altered to Read “Custom Templates & Scripts”

Admin has been around in the last week or so, but yes, he’s been very busy with other things and hasn’t been around the forum much lately. Also yes, he’s the one who would have to make any change.
I do support the rename, but would oppose the separate forum because it would be too difficult to for most members to decide when to use it. Much of the scripting/php discussion on here comes out of the use of the templates, and there are already two valid options for that discussion, adding a third doesn’t make sense to me. To give a specific example, suppose Michael comes up with another spiffy new script, many users will want to know how to integrate that into a template site.
i was thinking more of a Sub Catagory off of the Template one. Not a whole new one, as that would confuse people as you say. Keeping them close together would be a good idea.
I think… Niko meant combining Templates and Scripts, which was my meaning when I posted…
Change the title of the Subforum now called “Custom Templates” to “Custom Templates and Scripts” as they really all but go hand in hand…
