PC Shut down

Just had a problem, the PC shut down/crashed (W10) when I started it up WD delay came on & then the message showed (see pic A) clicked on it & then pic B popped up clicked on it & then pic C showed same for pic D & E. I then started my old WD 10.37r b81 that started OK, but when I tried to shut it down pic F popped up click on it & WD shut down. I then tried new WD 10.37s b15 & it started ok, so what that was all about I have not got a clue. The PC is all set up to not shut down, & the program event log is empty.

many thanks.

I suspect a problem again with your custom screen in WD
You. Could try deleting those settings from the WD registry settings

if all else fails, .zip and email me your WD settings files

Hi Brian, not sure how to delete the custom screen settings, but if I do that will I have to remake the screen all over again ?. I will leave as it is for the moment & I will send you my settings anyway for you to have a look at when you get some spare time.

many thanks.

I get this when i have a PC crash or leccy outage and its normally a webcam image that got corrupted, i.e. the last one didnt
full create, , WD does fix this in time but the quickets way is to just delete the webcamimage or jpgwebcam images

Hi, it shut down again tonight but this time WD restarted ok when I turned the PC back on. I have now deleted all of the webcam/jpgwebcam images apart from the time lapse year ones, is there anyway to find out what caused the PC to shut down, using W10.

try Event Viewer, its highly likely a BSoD, find out when the last update occurred and see if it coincides with the issues, if so, roll back the update
then under advance updates, click defer updates  or, under event viewer, it could tell you exactly what the issue is but theres abit of digging to
do in there, see if you can turn on not to shut down at BSoD, see if this is any help
