I relied on this forum for getting this camera (Panasonic BL-C140A) -so now I’m posting an update on it’s operation…simply awesome and especially for the price point…I couldn’t have done better in my opinion and wanted to share that…
I have 2 of these cameras and both purchased for about $190 US. One camera has a cover over it but exposed to the winds and blowing snow/rain/ice and the other is 100% completely open and exposed on the roof of my house… The one I my house is mounted on top of the roof with absolutely no protection - I drilled a few extra drainage holes and taped a few of the potential openings closed with metal tape… It was installed last October on my anemometer mast and went through an entire Colorado winter with snow/ice and below freezing temperatures…so far this summer we’ve seen over a 100 degrees and probably much higher above the asphalt roof…I have experienced no problems what so ever and I can say at this time fully weather proof as there was some discussion about if it would hold up - so far no glitches!!! I like this camera!
Here are links to both Cams and they run during daylight hours…
