Outdoor solar Wifi IP WebCam in 2024

Does anyone have a working setup of an outdoor IP camera streaming in to WD to capture a clip every 10 seconds?

I have been using USB cameras up until I recently moved and now need an IP based camera. I have a foscam which only outputs rtsp stream and I cant justify $900 for the rtsp plugin !! unless there is a work around, unfortunately this foscam only has rtsp/onvif stream out so requires the plug in…

dont want to break the bank, but my new location has a view out across a lake to the mountains and I’d love to caputure an all day time lapse…

any suggestions of camera or how to get rtsp working without a 900$ plug in are greatly appreciated

I though rtsp was free if you stay under 1000 hits per month. I have my camera running in the bedroom waiting for cooler whether to mount it outside it’s 115F now. I have a Amcrest camera.

mine comes up with a box on the video saying valuation and then stops after a short while…
but I have now got round it, using VLC to change the rtsp stream to http stream and its working reasonably well so far
