This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Wim is on holiday this week. . .

The lucky man  hope wil have nice weather

Do you have other SVG files on your site that are working correctly? If not it’s possible that the web server software isn’t enabled to handle that format of file.

Yep, this one works perfect Clear partly cloudy day

If I download the image and open it in another app it displays correctly (it’s a cloud with rain coming from it). That also suggests that the web server MIME settings aren’t set up (or not set up correctly) for SVG files.

That’s strange and isn’t making sense at the moment. I’m still on my phone so further investigation at the moment is tricky. I’ll look later from my laptop to see if I can figure it what’s going wrong.

shall replace the new ones with the old ones.

That’s probably safest for now. Leave the new ones in the server with a slightly different name so that they can still be accessed for testing purposes

well, thats the problem, backup is corrupt :frowning: so now waiting when Wim is back from holiday

If they are standard icons then try downloading them from another PWSWD site. They should be in the same directory path with the same name

Hi
If you want different icons, just make sure that the new ones are the same size in pixels, and then give them the same name as the old ones, rename all the old ones first and then ftp them to the img directory, they will replace the old icons with the new ones.
I have done this quite a lot with my site, so have a look.

The problem is that the new icons don’t display properly for some reason.

I’m pretty sure I know what’s wrong.

The icon that doesn’t work appears to be a PNG file and not SVG. SVG files are XML formatted so when the browser receives an SVG file it looks for the XML header information to interpret the content correctly for display. The PNG file isn’t XML based so there’s no header which gives the error you’re seeing. It works when downloaded because the image tools in Windows look at the file contents and see it’s a PNG and therefore display it correctly.

So, either convert the PNGs to SVG (I’m guessing there should be a converter somewhere) or change the web page to use PNG rather than SVG files for the icons you’ve replaced (if that’s possible).
