What is the minimum storing interval in order not to have choppy graphs?
Is 30min enough?
Then, I’d like to gather wind and wind direction (and also Rain) data from a metar source, but all other values from my kestrel 4000, what settings should I use?
I’m little confused by the number of settings to keep in mind at the actual state of my knowledge.
sorry i had not had a chance to get back to you dan…
the problem with metars is they are oten only updated hourly, but some are updated every 15 minutes now…
now, if the whole world WMO used weather display with a ASOS internationaly used METAR station, then the metar data could be updated every minute instead with the latest weather conditions.

This answers partially to the question of mine
My PC is closed overnight so I can get no Metar data, but my Kestrel 4000 keeps on logging data.
Thus in the morning I could put these data on myPC.
On the other side with kestrel is a mess logging wind speed and impossible to get wind direction.
Thus, finally, I would like WD to act in a “mixed environment”, where wind and rain data are collected via metar and the other parameters are collected via Kestrel. How?
Here it ends the first question of mine.
The second it is: in such an environment, what should it be the logging interval of kestrel 4000, required in order to have not choppy graphs.
