Is there a simple method to detect the offline situation? Does it not be useful to receive a notification about this?

The URL for the flatline script near the top of the thread is broken but there’s a copy of it attached to a post near the bottom of the thread.
I assumed you mean your weather data going offline, but I see you tagged the post with ‘webcam’ so my suggestion may not be useful.
