Official AQ not correct

Nice, so how can I fix my Air Quality reading and get it to work? Oceanside, CA Home Weather Station (AWapi version) (artisticimages.com)

Thank you, John

It’s working just fine:

OK it’s been reading that for a long time even when we had rain. It just seems hard to believe the air quality coming off the Pacific Ocean is so bad.

thank you

For discussions about this data-problem, I split the topic as this is un-related the question @amonphi posted.

This is not your AirQuality as for that you need to buy your own AQ sensor and after correct install that sensor can upload the data to your website.

This is an official AQ sensor owned and maintained by US-Marine Base Camp Pendleton

The only specific problem in the past was the failure of the O3/NO2 sensor.
Your version of the script should have been adapted to skip that sensor.

I attach a screenshot and all private sensors (without O3) and Camp Pendleton show similar values.

You can check this site also, it shows all kind of maps and forecasts for your area.

But sometimes it seems that the Camp Pendleton data is “to old” to be used.

Some other “official” stations also regularly lag behind in updating / uploading the values onto the waqi-server. Most stations are correct but some have often problems.

I am currently trying to find a second provider/website for the “Official AQ”-data for those missing / old-data stations.

It is impossible to write separate scripts for all regions/countries of the world.
So we need a second provider which gathers the data and has a “for free” API to load the current and forecast.

Will be working on it, but it will take some time.

Coincidentally, all Edinburgh stations seem to have “disappeared” for the last 24 hours or so:

My Official Sensor block has taken to showing me Newcastle Centre, so I have replaced it - temporarily, I hope
