Odd goings on

Hi
At the moment my eldest daughter is staying which means the PC in the spare room gets turned off at night.

Last night it was turned off before midnight and not on again till 8:30 or therabouts.

Some of the stats on my web page seem to be incorrect. The max and min values for yesterday (from the xml file) are null, there is just no values. The month to date and year to date windrun readings seem to have made themselves up. Before it was shut down yest the YTD was about 4900 miles and the MTD was about 300.

Is this due the the system being off over the midnight period?

what weather station type?
how did she shut it down?
just pull the plug?

AWS is Davis VP and WD was shut down using file/ save and exit…

In WD my wind run figures are correct - when viewed in the Wind energy screen, but the XML output disagrees by a significant amount

humm
ok…
what xml tags are those?

XML tags are and .

Last night the WD was turned off before midnight and again this morning the XML tags and are both null again

what is your data logging interval set to on the davis VP?
1 minute works best for the data extraction/daily reset
( i am still to find time to test/make Ok for other than 1 minute data logging interval)

Yes I am using 1 minute intervals, also - I hadnt noticed earlier, but the are showing 10.1 which is bonkers as its only 10:15 here and on top of that its misty.

Next week I should get my house back to myself and I expect that the overmidnight problems will go away. However this does not fix the problem (if there is one) as not all users will be able to have the logging PC on 24x7

Now seems to be OK… Hmm will have to stop the kids coming to stay I suppose.

not all of the daily resets happen at midnight, some are 5 minutes past, 1 minute past, etc
so, if the datalogging interval is not 1 minute, then those times will be missed, when WD is checking the time of the data…
