NOAA and Climate upload (RESOLVED)

Hi all,

Could someone please advise me where or how to set the upload time for noaa and climate files?

I’ve been reading some posts but are not able to solve it. Average/Extremes works fine according to time set but noaa and climate files are created at 00.11 for some reason. This used to work but I think it got messed up in January when changing WD versions. I’m not sure though. Doing a manual upload works fine so I think I have to make sure the files are created/generated before 00.10 when all those files are uploaded, or could it be something else?

Thanks

Still no change,
Does anyone know how to set the creation time berfor 00.10?

make sure you have set to upload
the noaa and detailed climate reports
in the view, av/ext, internet options

also, you do not say which version/build you are using
(make sure you are using the latest version)

Sorry, I’m using the latest version 10.37Q b34 but not with todays date
Attached my settings also. Like I mentioned no problem when manually triggering an upload

Thanks for getting back to me

Tried a few things now but still no luck.
Brian, do you know how to change or why the files are created at 11 past?

Thanks
/Labbs

So the calculations don’t interfere with cpu loading for data gathering and FTP functions at 10 past and that they are also separate from the :08 file generations.

This spreads out the load on the cpu for these once a day operations.

Correct, or at least that is what I believe…

I have tried different time settings

Still no luck. Have to do a manual update/upload.

Could I perhaps use Custom Internet and File Creation Setup to get the file uploaded once per day?

the daily av/ext is updated at 8 minute past the reset hour (e.g 00:08)
the detailed noaa and climate report is updated at 11 minutes past the hour you have set for the noaa reset hour (in the view/av/ext, noaa report, setup noaa report)

what speed PC and how much memory does it have?

you can set the time to create and upload the noaa/detailed climate report via the customise internet and file creation setup

Daily av/ext to 8 minutes past and NOAA setup is set to hour 0 (midnight).
The computer is an Intel P4 3GHz with Vista Enterprise 32-bit installation. Memory is 3GB.

Do you think I should use the customise setup or do you believe I can get this to work as before?

Thanks

Hi Brian and others,

I saw a change in build 35 where you removed the field Minutes (after hour) so I guess the creation times are more hard coded now. Still, my files are created like clockwork at 00:08 and 00:11 (file below) where the later are not uploaded.

Do you have any other suggestions what can be done, cause as I wrote before, this used to work?

Thanks
/Labbs

How does it work elsewhere?
Are files being created at :08 and :11 and still get uploaded or are the getting another timestamp?

Thx

the create times have not changed
it was just the upload times that are not fixed (for minutes past create time)
for the uploads, make sure you have a FTP server name set at least, in the connections setup

OK, I see. Thanks for your reply.
I do have a few ftp servers set and all other files are uploaded according to settings.

When doing a manual upload I found when pressing first daily noaa and then daily report immediately, only dailyreport.htm gets uploaded (also seen in ftplog). Only a click on daily noaa uploads the requested files. I’ve set the daily report switch to off for now just to see if i makes any difference.

for the problem of the files not being auto uploaded
first make sure to be using the latest version of WD
then .zip and email me your settings files and I will test here

Appreciate your time… mail is soon underway
