Have read the gfs and ECMWF post so I know you currently have a problem
I wanted to post a reply in the post but there is no option to do it we used to be able too
I wanted to mention that both my files are 19-6 and that was last updated at 2pm on the 19th
So I suspect this problem was brewing during the afternoon yesterday
Thought the the balancer was software driven now
Have switched to bolher for gfs till you get things sort
The first data set reported as missing was the 12z ECMWF one. The data for that arrives quite late - I think about 7-8 hours after 12z. The missing data report is only issued when a reasonable period has elapsed so it was posted after 10pm UK time. I didn’t access the forum after that time so didn’t see it until this morning.
The load balancer is software based now, but if the network is broken then neither hardware nor software load balancers can access a database which is on the other side of the break.
Glad you have it all up and running again
This is a bit of a long winded way of posting a reply to the fault you had but anyway I’m sure you have a reason for it
I’m trying to keep Announcements relatively low bandwidth so that people will look at it. I could make it so that replies can be added but not new threads, but replies there will appear for everyone so making it appear busier than I’d prefer. I’ll have a think about it and see if I need to make a change.
so can i rename this topic to “No GFS or ECMWF updates” and post in here when Tonys emails pop up in announcements for your data if we see issues as well and keep it alive before the 6 months is up
that would save you from changing things on the announcements
