Hello,

I currently have a Davis Weather Monitor II with rain guage and Humidity sensors as add ons.

I am considering upgrading to a new station. I was considering the Davis Vantage Pro Plus (with UV and Solar Sensors). (About $1000 Canadian Dollars)

I am just wondering if that is the best choice or should I choose another brand / station. I would just like to get the best station that I can while staying within my budget of $1,000 to 1,200 Canadian. My Weather Monitor II is getting old and would like to upgrade to newer technology while having the UV and Solar sensors.

I’m a big fan of the Vantage Pro, not only the hardware but also the after sales support from Davis. There’s a good comparison chart here http://www.shopambient.com/specs/specs.PDF. You can spend less but pretty much you get what you pay for.
