New at this game

Hi all, I’ve always been interested in the weather… to a point. Now I have a kiwi fruit orchard I’m a bit more interested! I’m looking at getting a 1 wire weather station but need advise on setups ect, anyone on the forum willing to help??

I’m not familiar with the setup on the 1-wire but I’m sure there will be those who can offer advice.

I’m using a WS-2310 from LaCrosse. It’s about as inexpensive as you can get and requires some rewiring but is actually less expensive (for what you get) than the 1-wire. The 1-wire is more flexible and (possibly) more accurate.

I agree that the Lacrosse WS-2310 is a good starter station and fairly easy to set up.

So nzdave, did you get a waether station yet? I’m in the same boat (but may be a bit behind you by now) and am looking for a station that will also be able to upload to my web page. I’ve been looking at the La Crosse 2010 but am not sure if that is the way to go yet. There sure is a lot on the market!!! 8O
