Need Network Guru Help

I almost have the NOAAport system running. I will be using two computers in a master slave configuration. One will be decoding the sat signal. And it will be rather busy. The second computer will, among other things, will be acting as a server. The school, village, and nursing home have all expressed interest in getting access to NOAAport. How can I give them access without exposing their network? Could the NOAAport system be on a different subnet mask? And using two network cards?

They don’t want their network compromised. And neither do I.

You need to provide more information about what is connecting to what, what types of services you are using etc…

It is not clear from your posting what you are actually doing or why it would allow for any network to be compromised.

  1. The NOAAport computer network. Two computes decoding the NOAAport signal. And the satellite decoder
  2. My home network. My home and shop computers with a connection to the internet.
  3. Nursing home computer network
  4. Village network
  5. School network

#2 needs a connection to #1
#3 needs a connection to #1
#4 needs a connection to #1
#5 needs a connection to #1

I will have five different networks Four of them need to have access to NOAAport. But I need to keep 2,3,4, and 5 separate from each other.

Do I need four network cards? My network and the NOAAport. Then one for the other three. The school, nursing home, and village will be getting access by way of wifi.

Connection is a bit vague…

Connections how, using what ports?

Is there a reason why #3 #4 and #5 need full access to all the data or can they just get sub-sections of what they need from a central web server for example.
