WD uploading to Weather Undergound KVASOUTH6
http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KVASOUTH6
I just began using WD this morning and I’m liking it so far.
Previously, I was using VWS to upload to Weather Underground (KVASOUTH6), and it would not upload any data for the columns “Conditions” & “Clouds”.
With WD, it’s sending data to those columns even though I do not have a UV sensor.
I’ve been through the control panel several times, but I see no way to turn that off.
Is there a way to turn that part of the data upload off?
Control Panel > Solar Sensor is already set to OFF.
I think this maybe that you don’t have the data uploading that’s causing the continual “CLR” to be shown, it’s the default if nothing is received.
You could download your local METAR (Control Panel > METAR Download) and set WD to use the conditions from that. At least that way you’ll be reporting something in there.
Thanks for the response.
The Conditions column just appeared when I switched to WD software.
The Clouds column was there previously, but there was no data.
You can see that on this report from two days ago.

I don’t understand why WD is sending “CLR” when I’ve got solar sensor turned OFF.
I looked in the Control but see no METAR Download icon.
Found it.
Control Panel > FTP > METAR Download
Thanks for the help!
The reason it started with WD is because these headings are included in the data file that WD sends to WU and if there’s no actual data in there then it reverts to the default.
Here’s the FAQ on how to setup the METAR download, the screenshots are a bit older but the commands are the same: How to set up a METAR in WD
Today is the first day it’s been anything other than clear.
My METAR data did not appear to be updating itself, so I clicked the TEST button and it updated.
Why isn’t it automatically pulling in the data?
Here’s a screenshot of my settings.

Try clicking on “Use passive FTP” & see if that helps.
I’m not sure if that’s the answer but it’s the only thing I have ticked that you don’t. Apart from that your setup is the same as mine.
One thing try reducing the number of times you download, many Metars only update once an hour…
Also look at your FTP log and see what it says when a download is due.

I have made all recommended changes, but it still will not pull the METAR data by itself.
It does fine when I click the Test button, but the FTP log remains empty and it’s not updating every hour.
make sure the main internet switch is on in the connections setup too
and you have ticked to use weather displays ftpupd.exe there too
Brian you beat me to the same thought

Problem Solved!
Thank you, sir!
Great software, but not the most user-friendly GUI I’ve ever been around
