I have a WMR300 weather station but about 6 months ago my temperature/humidity sensor failed and I stopped getting up to date readings on WDisplay.
I went to Oregon Scientific’s website and it appears that they don’t carry or support this station anymore, so now I’m left holding the bag so to speak. Why have a weather station if it’s not going to record the temperature and humidity anymore?
OS’s site says that customer service is now permanently closed. Now what do I do?
Anyone want a WMR300 station for parts? I might just bite the bullet and go out and spend the $700 to get a Davis.
Hi Brian, yeah, “might” is the key word here. If I get it and it doesn’t work, then I have to go through the trouble of sending it back and getting a refund. Seems more trouble than it’s worth. I have to be SURE it works with my station before I buy it.
Would this work as a replacement temperature/humidity sensor for the WMR300? It looks identical to the one that’s in there now, but this one specifies Davis.
Update: I must have been pairing my sensor the wrong way. I went to the OS console/transmitter pairing website, then followed the instructions to the letter, and it started reporting again.
The thing is, I don’t know why it stopped reporting. But I guess the taking down of the station and cleaning all the parts and the aspirator made it work again.
