MQTT settings in MQTTin.txt - Resolved

Hey Guys. I’m struggling to get one last value to transfer to my home assistant automation via MQTT. No matter what I do I can’t get %gust5minuteago% to transfer. I have verified it’s in testtags.txt and is showing the correct value in testtags.php.

When I look at the MQTTout.txt file it shows %gust5minuteago% as the reading. If i change to %maxgst% it populates the value correctly. Problem is this is maxgust for the day which won’t work for my use case. If I use %maxgusthr% it populates but includes the wind direction which won’t work.

I have a feeling %gust5minuteago% is not in a location that the MQTTin.txt can actually see it. If this is the case is there a way around it?

Maybe I posted this in the wrong section but does anyone have any idea for a work around? Any help would be truly appreciated. My only thought if nothing can be done is to do some black magic coding and somehow strip the wind direction out of the %maxgusthr% reading :smiley: in my HA system.

I suspect there are very few people using MQTT with WD and therefore not many who could answer your question. You might be better mailing Brian directly to try to get an answer.
