Moviemaker Not Working

Greetings All,

Oh no, not ANOTHER moviemaker thread …

There are loads of messages going back several years but, having reviewed all the recent ones, I still can’t get moviemaker working. I have the time stamped files and it makes the 10 minute video, then deletes them all an starts over ad infinitum.

So I can’t seem to make anything longer (hour/day). I have the latest version and the log says :-

File Name: a=11360752;r=10/1;s=480*360;bpp=32;t=Canvas
Format Name: frameinput
Format Long Name: Frame input
File Size: 0 Byte
Duration: N/A
Bit Rate: 55296 kb/s
Stream #0, 1/1000000: Video: rawvideo, bgra, 480x360, 55296 kb/s, 10 tbr, 1000k tbn, 10 tbc, Duration: N/A

***Can do convert.

timeout count 1
timeout count 2
timeout count 3
copying file to new location videolasthour.wmv
*** Files used **

Does this mean it didn’t run ? I’m not sure whether ‘***Can do convert’ should read ‘***Cant do convert’.

Last log attached. I also notice that if I make changes and save them they usually disappear next time it’s loaded.

Does anyone have it working correctly ?

Thanks, Simon

one thing:
make sure the time stamed files are not being created in the alldayvideo folder

Hi Brian,

timestamped files are being created in the alldayvideotenseconds directory.

Also, moviemaker had crashed this morning and windows was wanting to send an error report.

Is there any easy way to zap all the settings for moviemaker and start over ?

Thanks, Simon
