move from Win XP to Win 10 no sftp working

Please Advice.

So I have moved from Windows XP with Very old version of Weatehr display to 10.37.S143
But now I tried to get WD 10.37s143 to run on Windows 10.
How did I do the move ?
I coppied the c:\wdisplay folder to the new Win 10 to computer.
Installed the WD 10.37.s143 version
Did the reg hack

I have a WS-2902 from Ambientweather net and run the api and macadress setting.

I get the data ! That is ok.

But I can not send data to my SFTP Server.
I can connect to my sftp server with the new win 10 Weaterdiplay computer via Win_Scp. User and pass works fin in WSSCP!
But I can get WD to send data.
I get
Start Time/date:20:26:38 2022-10-03
Permanent connection selected
Permanent connection, will do ftp now
Finshed email agenda
Finshed email agenda, and more Internet agenda items to do…
Weather Display FTP/Internet vers 9.29
Time/date:20:26:40 2022-10-03
Logging onto SFTP server…192.1.x.x
[10061] Connection refused
[10061] Connection refused
10061: [10061] Connection refused
Change to remote Dir /usr/home/weatherman/web
Doing abort procedure/program close…

Also good to know… I run the SQL on the same as sftp server. That works. I can send data from my new weaterdisplay on win 10 to the SQL but no SFTP.

When I had the old Win XP WD it worked fine

Could it be that SFTP needs to accept the a new key from the server?
10061 tells me that there is no connection. But there is !! I am sure of this

Please advice

Found this doing a google search:

SFTP port number is the SSH port 22. It is basically just an SSH server. Only once the user has logged in to the server using SSH can the SFTP protocol be initiated. There is no separate SFTP port exposed on servers.

Hey NorCal Dan
Plenty thx for your update !

But there is a key, right ? SFTP is the same as ssh, Right ?
Every time you connect there is a key that you need to apporve the first time. You can store that key for future events. SFP has a key exchange that has to be approved.

I guess I can Kill the installation. Reinstall the Application according to this Recovering Weather Display Configuration

Do A recovery, basically

And I do miss my old Win XP! Everything was so simple back then.
One wounders if the latest and greates of Weater Display would run on a Windows XP?
Anyone knows ?

I don’t remember there being any special actions required in WD after you select to use SFTP. Did you check the ftp log to see if there were any errors reported? If it were me I would take a gander at the ini and ftpreg files looking for anything related to SFTP. If that doesn’t provide any clues then the best thing would be to email Brian direct and see if he would be willing to help you. I just don’t understand how we go from having world class support of WD to basically none. :x

I have read that build 120 is the last available version of WD guaranteed to run in XP.
