Modifying LaCrosse 3600

Hi, I hope that this is the correct place to post this.

I have been using a LaCrosse WS3600 for about a year now using WD as my software. Everything is working really well except for the (very) occasional false reading.

It has been suggested that the reason for these occasional spikes is the poor quality of the cables on the LaCrosse. It should be possible to replace it with good quality computer network cable. Has anyone tried to change the cabling? What were the problems and how did you overcome them?

Thanks

there is a FAQ on changing the cables with the 2310 station, which will apply to the 3600 station

Thanks for this; can you please post the link, I have searched the WD FAQs but can’t find the one you mention.

Hi
Here is the link: http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/15261
You could first try and replace the cable between console->computer with a shielded comport cable.

Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for, I am off to heat up my soldering Iron!
