At one time there was a post on the forums about making your own temperature sensors for use with a labjack that consisted of a sensor and a resistor. There was a schematic and the part numbers for buying them from digikey. I referenced the instructions in my post here:
http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/40549
BUT, the post that I referenced in my reply has disappeared from the forum:
http://discourse.weather-watch.com
Can anyone figure out how to get to that post or remember how to build them?
Thanks…
How about http://discourse.weather-watch.com/p/45547
But I think the part number on that pic is incorrect.
Probably LM34 as in SLO’s post, probably cheaper and lower minimum order at Jameco.
I changed web hosts. I edited the info for Labjack sensor. Just search Labjack . The parts were copied by taking Labjack sensor apart. I added pot because Labjack is in garage which is 110+f and the temp changes a littel when hot. I have one in Koi pond and one in spa works great. I put sensor in 1/4 inch drip line plastic tubing filled with silicone.
While looking through the labjack fourm on labjack.com I found the original picture and have attached it below. What would we do without the internet?
Thanks for all of the help!
Here is they updated version with pot to calibrate temp. Pot is mounted by Labjack.
