Midland WR300 Problem

I have a WR300 running and streaming to my site, NOAA and Wunderground. For this it’s doing fine. In alert mode I have been unable to get the radio to show the warning lights lit and the messsage on the screen. Since I use the earphone jack to feed my computer, the speaker is shut off so no voice or siren alerts are heard (maybe on the stream you hear them) anyway that’s why I thought having the led’s lit up and a message show would at least give me an indication that an advisory/watch/warning is advised.

I have the single county selection and correct FIPS code entered and with all of the bad wx on the east coast we have all sorts of advisories but no lights or message on the radio display.

Is anyone else using the radio this way, do u see lights and messages on ur display.

I have a WR300, also streaming to Wunderground. Stream source is the earphone jack too.
I have seen the Yellow Advisory light illuminate and message display when the weekly tests are done. Fortunately, the weather here is mild enough that no ‘real’ warnings are issued :slight_smile:

Do you have the radio programmed to respond to the type of alerts your missing?
You can disable certain types of alerts that you don’t want to be notified of in setup.
